“Over the years, Welcome to the Jungle has enabled us to hire some key roles for Attest and improve diversity within our teams. We have found that Welcome to the Jungle candidates are more qualified and more engaged than other job boards”
Emily Meiklejohn, Talent Acquisition and Employer Brand Lead at Attest
Attest is on a mission to make it simple and fast to uncover opportunity with consumer data. Founded in 2015 and with over $85 million total funding to date, the company has grown significantly across Europe and North America.
Going into their fourth year of partnering with Welcome to the Jungle, Attest has made 24 key hires on the platform. 50% of hires have been female, and 28% of hires have been ethnically diverse.
Challenge: Make key hires and focus on diversity throughout process
Attest needed a hiring platform that could provide a way to reach top talent across different functions. This was something other hiring platforms had struggled to deliver on, which often left Attest sifting through lots of irrelevant applications.
DEI was a key priority in the company’s hiring plans. On top of wanting access to a diverse pool of candidates, the employer branding team had invested in making the hiring process more inclusive. As a result, the team needed a hiring tool which showcased these initiatives well.
How Welcome to the Jungle Helped: A focus on DEI, and high quality inbound applications
The team at Attest
83% of Attest’s hires made on Welcome to the Jungle have been through strong inbound applications. These roles have been across different functions of the business, and have included a Marketing Director, Lead Product Designer, and a number of engineers.
“We have found that Welcome to the Jungle candidates are more qualified and more engaged than other job boards, meaning that we spent less time looking through irrelevant applications.”

Leaning into the inbound channel didn’t mean Attest compromised on a diverse talent pipeline. The team worked closely with their dedicated CSM to improve how they could better use the product to proactively attract top diverse talent. This has had strong results and 58% of applications have been from ethnically diverse candidates.
“We absolutely love the support from our Customer Success Manager, Sam. He always gives great advice, whether it is how to optimise a job posting, honing our outreach messages or editing our company profile.”

One area Attest really focused on was transparency from the moment a candidate views a job. They used research from Welcome to the Jungle to understand the value of certain initiatives in making hiring more inclusive. As well as using it as a powerful tool to get buy-in from the executive team and the rest of the business. This led to big changes, including salary transparency across every single job posting.
Welcome to the Jungle was integral to our journey to salary transparency. The research from Welcome to the Jungle was super helpful and every Attester who heard about the Ask Gap (where women from minority racial backgrounds ask for 40% less than their white male counterparts) was shocked.”
“We realised that by not being part of the solution, we were part of the problem. This made the argument for salary transparency all the more powerful.”

Transparency did not stop at salaries. The Employer Branding team also introduced content like an Attest blog and candidate packs. This has helped candidates make informed decisions, and Attest has seen applications strengthen as a result.
“The blog introduces potential candidates to some of our current Attesters and what we have been up to, along with total transparency around some of our key benefits. We love that we are able to signpost candidates to blog through our Welcome to the Jungle company profile.”

Investing into the candidate experience has had impressive results for Attest in attracting and engaging diverse talent. 50% of all hires made on Welcome to the Jungle have been female candidates.
Being able to both make quality hires and focus on diversity has enabled Attest to consolidate the different hiring tools they had previously had in place for each.
